The Stillness

The stillness it's peaceful
Surrounded by your very creations
In unity we praise you and you alone
As we lay and sit down on your earth

With our minds and hearts wide open
Taking in what you have for each of us
We take moment to absorb your majesty

The sweat streaming down my nose
I look at the sky in a pose
Looking at the sky in marvelous awe

I'm in the stillness once again

Higher Ground

In the realm of uncertainly
My life is changing right before my very eyes
The change is monumental, but it still hurts
I'm confused at what I ought to do
I'm mad at myself for my prior mistakes
I've come along way from where I was
Looking forward to the future
Trembling at the unknown
Familiar with failure all to well
But, the new me won't let me tear myself down

Charles,Lee, and other random strangers

During the month of June I have ran across many interesting strangers. That have inspired me, spoken truth in my life, and flat out live for Jesus. It's funny how we can see Jesus through a person who lives on the streets, or a person who just got out of rehab. At first you make think it's impossible. But I have come to find out that, I've see God through alot of strangers. The man I met under the bridge gave me a huge sermon on the love of Jesus. When we finished he smiled and said I'll see you in heaven. I replied are you leaving? Yes, I'm going to Wisconsin, for what I asked? He replied to show the love of Christ. He hugged me and left. I met another man he gave me the message of hope. That God made me wonderfully and fearfully. I met him at work. His last day at work he asked for my number. I gave it to him. since then he has texted me everyday with a bible verse. Has he rode off on his bike. I then realized the impact strangers can have. Many strangers have crossed my path, and it's been nothing short of a blessing!

Good Old Family Time

My bro graduated the other day. On the eve of his graduation. I got into a very engaging conversation with my mom, her mother(grandma), and my uncle. The subject ME, it was one nice, civil I might add conversation. When you think you got it straightened out. Most of the time it means quite the opposite. What I learned from this conversation is well I'm young and have a lot of life to live(God willing). To seek God and, one last thing family that truly loves you will tell you what you need to hear. Man I love my FAMILY!

IF.....................

As I watched the Lakers almost put off. One of the most historic comebacks ever. I was interrupted by my lovely sister(Mariana). She told me her friend Megan was here, so I came out of my basketball occupied mind. Gave her a hug and said hi, and asked how life was treating her. Then suddenly, they turned to the present my brother received from his chica for graduation. Girls will be girls so they salivated over the fact of finding out what he got. They dug their hands in, and a red book came out. The title of this little book was IF............. So we started asking questions in the book. That have the word if incorporated in every question. The questions vary from asking what's your ideal celebrity spouse, what country would you teleport to, what aspect of your life would you focus more on. I responded to the question with school, my sis and her friend responded with church. It hit me that a lot of people are stuck on if with Jesus.

If I put him first............
If I went to church...............
If I read the Bible..............
If God loves me..................
If I didn't sin so much...........
etc

If is a very powerful word, that leads to some questions. But,as I sat there and asked why they responded that way. I thought I shouldn't ask why? But, how?

How can I be a witness..................
How can I invite them to church............
How do I approach this person...............
How can I further my relationship with God.........
How do I read the Bible.................
How can I serve him/others..........
etc

How is just as powerful as if, perhaps even more powerful. From my personal experiences how comes with results. How becomes now and now becomes WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You humbly take us as your sheep.
Giving us hope like no other.
Embracing us with your grace.
Showing mercy and guiding the way.

We stray at times, you simply love on us.
Showing the truth of your glory.
When mature in the walk of your greatness.
We start the adventure like no other.

Trials and Tribulations we will face.
Stern we must be in this walk of walks.
To remain in you to till the end.
You simply do what you do and whatever that is it’s sufficient.
