Gut Check

This post is really for those individuals. Who have yet, to come to terms, with what they are doing. For those, who think they are at a crossroads, in their walk with Christ. That something is on the brink of dramatically changing.

Our walk with Christ takes turn after turn. The walk of walks is one that builds several characteristics, that last. But there comes a point when, you must conduct a "gut check". To confront God with your, sin, doubt, and with your imperfections. The "gut check" is realizing what your doing, is wrong. Flipside, you need to change something in your life. You need to let go of something from the past. Whatever it maybe, it will be difficult.

Gut checking is hard. It always allows vulnerability into the picture. When you confront God, honestly, and you simply do business with God. I know at times. I have tried to shy away from this confrontation. But its imperative to our growth in Christ. It doesn't need to happen all the time.

But their comes a point in time. When we need a check on how we are doing. I know, at least for me. I can get lost in the cycle of life. In the midst of that, forget how my walk is doing. The sin piles up, and so does your distance with your Father.

There is no one that is perfect. That's a given. But when we get out of the loop. Of what out true purpose is on this earth. It can be a dangerous game. When we allow sin to accumulate without admitting what, we are doing is wrong. We start, just walking around. Walking through the motions, is risky business.

Confronting God with some deep dark problems.
Is hard, but remember God knows what we are doing.
We are not hiding anything from God. God already knows.
We are acknowledging, that we are sinners all around.
And we need to change.

Gut checks are for everyone for all who sin.
No matter who you are pastor, husband, wife, college student.

We are all in need of a gut check.
One time or, another.

For those who are in the grinding process of the motions.
You have my prayers. Don't let timidity, doubt, or skepticism slip in.

There is a man who loves, all no matter what.
And he wants to help, us all.

"Gut check". That's great and so important to stop and reevaluate where you are. It's easy to get off course when you don't know where you are. Yep. "Gut check".
